Glenda F. Like, 60, of Vincennes, passed away on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born on June 19, 1956 in Effingham, Illinois to Lowell and Onieda (McAdams) Lewis.
Glenda worked for and retired from the Unit 20 School corporation in Lawrence County, Illinois where she had been a teacher and librarian. A member of the Harmony, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing bridge, vacationing with her family and friends at the beach.
Surviving is her husband, William “Willie” Like, whom she married on June 5, 1982; her mother, Onieda Lewis of Effingham; her daughter, Lindsay Poe and her husband Dustin of Trinity. Florida; her grandson, Jackson Poe; two brothers, Dan Lewis of Effingham, Dean Lewis of Vandalia; and her sister, Cheryl Beatt of Effingham.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm August 3rd, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home where friends may visit with the family from 1:00 pm until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com
