Selma J. (Scales) Westfall, 93, of Vincennes, passed away andwent to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2016.
She was born March 23, 1923, to William A. and Elsie (Warner) Scales. Selma was a member of The First United Methodist Church and resided at Colonial Assisted Living Community. She attended Freelandville High School. She married Marvin C. Westfall on August 9, 1941, and they were married 52 years prior to his death on May 23, 1993.
Surviving is her son, Randy Westfall and his wife, Gayle, of Ft. Wayne, IN; her daughter, Ronda Harrell of Vincennes, IN; grandchildren, Kelli (Westfall) Pash of North Las Vegas, NV, Amy J. (Harrell) Springfield of Vincennes, and Angela (Robbins) Snyder, Fort Wayne, IN; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Selma was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elsie Scales; her husband, Marvin Westfall; brothers William O. Scales and Ralph Scales; sister, Dorothy Hager; her grandson Andrew J. Harrell; and her son-in-law, Rodney G. Harrell.
Selma enjoyed working retail sales in downtown Vincennes, visiting with friends and enjoyed listening to country music. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Friends may visit with her family from 12:00 – 2:00 on Saturday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the funeral home, with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
