The Good Samaritan Foundation is keeping busy this summer. The not-for-profit foundation raises funds for patients in need and gives people the opportunity to get involved in the medical profession.

One of the big projects the foundation has recently tackled is providing scholarships for local medical students to help pay for tuition and books. At the end of their medical education and residency, Foundation Director Gary Hackney says they must return to GSH and practice medicine for four years.

Interested students can go online to gshvin.org for more information or call the foundation at 885-3192.
