Betty June Shouse, 92, passed away at 10:05 am on July 10, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Betty was born on June 12, 1924 in Jasonville, IN the daughter of Edgar and Iva (Dean) Neal. She married Russell Shouse and he preceded her in death.
Betty was an administrative Assistant for her husband Russell when he worked for Prudential Insurance. She had been a member of First Christian Church and was very active there up until the death of her husband. She was very active in numerous social clubs involving her husband Russell and enjoyed playing golf with him as well. She also enjoyed teaching ballroom dancing.
Survivors include her nephew, Jack Cahall and his wife Robin of South Bend; great nephews, Gabriel James Cahall and his wife Cora of South Bend, Seth Lee Russell Cahall of South Bend and a niece through marriage, Carolyn Anderson of Florida. Betty was excited to become a great-great aunt as Gabriel and Cora will be expecting their first child. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Anna Cahall, Vera Anderson; three brothers, Forrest, Olan and Malcolm Neal; nephew, Michael Anderson; and great nephew, Scott Michael Cahall.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Russell. Rev. Ray Tromley will conduct service. There will be no public visitation and Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home has been entrusted with Betty’s final arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
