Chester (Chet) VanLue, 81, of Vincennes

Chester (Chet) VanLue, 81 passed away peacefully at his home in Vincennes, Indiana Monday June 27, 2016 with his wife and granddaughter, Aubrey by his side. He was born December 7, 1934 to William and Bertha (Peach) VanLue. He Married the Love of his life, Margaret (Margie) Nowaskie on November 15, 1979.

He worked as a route salesman for Royal Crown Cola in Vincennes until he retired in 1984. He and his wife moved too Winter Haven, FL. He worked in shipping and receiving for the Winter Haven Hospital until he totally retired in 1999. He and his wife, Margie made Florida their home for thirty-one years. They came back to Indiana in May of this year to be closer to family due to Chet’s declining health.

Chet was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Regina and two sons, David and Bill. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Nowaskie) VanLue; one daughter, Kim Freeman and her husband Henry; sons, Terry VanLue of Vincennes and Greg VanLue and his wife Janet of Bradenton, FL; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Chet was also preceded in death by five brothers, Clifford, Noble, Tony, Paul and Lyndon and three sisters, Myrtle, Wilma and Garnett and is survived by one brother, Roy Joseph VanLue of Mt. Carmel, IL and two sisters, Esther Madding and her husband Eldon of Bedford, IN and Belva Phegley of Vincennes.

Funeral services for Chet will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Brother Jerry VanLue and Brother Jeff VanLue officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Chet’s family from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Thursday.
