Alice of old Vincennes: The Musical opens this weekend

Famous novel being brought to life on the musical stage at the Skelton Theatre….

 


The celebration of Indiana’s Bicentennial will takes center stage in Vincennes this weekend. Not only will visitors be flocking to the Vincennes Rendezvous..but tonight marks the premiere of the musical Alice of Old Vincennes. The Musical is based on the Maurice Thompson novel. Lyricist Dr. Laurel Smith says the story is set in 1778 and features Alice, a young woman coming of age on the American frontier during the Revolutionary War.

Actors Emily Reeves plays Alice and Eric Sorrels portrays Lieutenant Beverly, whom Alice falls in love with.

Tickets are 25-dollars for Orchestra Seating and 20-dollars for mezzanine. They are available at the Red Skelton Box Office by calling 812-888-4039. Performance times are 7:30 tonight and on Saturday and 2-pm on Sunday. Additional performances will be held June 3rd, 4th and 5th.
