The Indiana Department of Transportation will be hosting a meeting tomorrow at its Vincennes District office. The purpose of the meeting will be to explain to local officials a new grant program that will provide additional funding to maintain local roads and streets. The new funding is in addition to the more than 200-million dollars that INDOT provides to cities, towns and counties annually through the agency’s federal-aid program. There will be two sessions scheduled. The first one will be tomorrow morning from 10 until 11:30 with another session starting at 1 pm. INDOT officials will explain the process for submitting projects and distribution of funding. The Vincennes District office is located on U.S. 41 South.
