Earle R. Wolfe, 89, of Vincennes, passed away on May 18.
Earle R. Wolfe, 89, of Vincennes, passed away on May 18, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mollie Wolfe, his nine siblings, his wife Wilma, and his son Rusty.
Earle is survived by four daughters, Helen Goffinet and her husband Edward of Bloomington, IN, Nancy Barber of South Bend, IN, Carol McCauley of Danville, IN and Susan Munnier and her husband Glenn of Ft. Branch, IN, eleven grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
Earle graduated from Elletsville High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was a graduate of Dale Carnegie. Earle served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WW II. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and worked for Wabash Food Service of Vincennes for thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, loved IU basketball and Cincinnati Red’s baseball and refereed high school and college basketball for twenty-five years.
Funeral services for Earle will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, 707 N. 8th Street, Vincennes, IN, with Pastor Ron Maxwell Officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice of Vincennes or St. John’s Lutheran Church.
