William E. Lemeron, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday.

 

 

William E. Lemeron, age 82, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at his residence. He was born May 7, 1933, in Birds, Illinois, the son of Herschel and Billie Mae (Stevenson) Lemeron.  He married Donna Edmister on August 10, 1963, and she survives.

 

William worked at Victor-Dana as a Production Foreman for 20+ years until retirement.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Birds Masonic Lodge until it closed and then transferred to the Flat Rock Masonic Lodge.  He was a member and resident of the Ambraw Sportsman’s Club.

 

William’s parents preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Lawrenceville; three sons, Shawn Lemeron and his wife Mary Grace of Oakland City, Indiana, Scott Lemeron and his wife Melanie also of Oakland City, Indiana, and Michael Wayne Lemeron of Alabama; two daughters Torrie Fielden and husband Jeff of Dacula, Georgia and Leann Merta and husband Scott of Chandler, Indiana; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Memorial Services will be conducted at 8:00 PM Friday evening at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.

 

Visitation will be Friday from 6 PM until the hour of service at 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

 

As per William’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the services.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois, Meals on Wheels or 4th Street Wesleyan Christian Church with envelopes available through the funeral home.
