Ruth E. Gilbert, 87, of Richmond Missouri, passed away at 5:30 am Thursday April 14, 2016 at her residence.
She was born March 27, 1929 in Lawrenceville to Charles and Margaret (Litherland) Brown.
Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed going to yard sales and playing bingo.
Surviving are her two daughters, Kathryn (Harold) Stone of Cushing Oklahoma, and Renee Johnson of Richmond Missouri; a sister, Fannie Lamb of Vincennes; a brother, John Brown of Washington; her grandchildren, Anita Semler, Cindy DeShazer, Cody Gilbert, Dakota Peel, and Sadie Peel; eight great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Bolding; a brother, Lewis Brown; a grandchild, Charles Rutherford; and two great grandchildren, Preston Semler and Tommy Semler.
