Chamber announces 2016 award winners

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce announced that Old National Bank, is the recipient of the 2016 “Business of the Year” award. The Chamber of Commerce and its board of directors cited O-N-B’s continued community involvement as one of the reasons for recognizing them. business. In 2015, O-N-B employees volunteered over 3,600 hours, which equates to $85,000 monetary value to the community. In the first quarter of 2016 alone, the Old National Bank Foundation has contributed $75,000 to two Knox County non-profits

 

Also the Chamber announced Kathy Clinkenbeard and Marilyn Schroeder of Wabash Parts as co-recipients of the Chamber’s “Women in Business” award. The mother-daughter team will be recognized during the Chamber’s annual banquet on April 14th. Chamber President Mark McNeece says Clinkenbeard and Schroeder exemplify the qualifications the Chamber believes the Award winner should be. He says they both have made significant contributions to the success of their business and have volunteered time and energy to improve the community. Two more awards– the Business of the Year, and the Small Business of the Year– will be announced at a later date.
