A state police traffic stop in Daviess County ended with a driver jailed for possession of fake government ID cards. At just before 1pm yesterday, a trooper stopped the car that was north on East Street in Odon. The driver, 51-year-old Victor Noriega Natereno of Odon, did not have a seatbelt on. During the stop, the motorist presented the officer an ID with his picture, but a different name. The trooper said it was easy to see the card was a fake. It was later learned the man was in the country illegally. Also found his person was a fake Social Security card and US Permanent Resident Card. He was jailed without incident for three counts of having counterfeit government issued IDs and for driving without ever receiving a license.
