Various incidents lead to several weekend arrests

-At 3:05 this morning, police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Washington Avenue and arrested 38-year-old Douglas Raley Junior. He was jailed for a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended.

-Just after 11 last night, a Vincennes woman was picked up on a warrant. 46-year-old April A. Hooten was located in the 2400 block of North 6th and arrested on the Lawrence County, Illinois warrant for failure to appear.

-Vincennes police investigated an incident at Kimmel Road and Avondale Drive at 8:45 last night.  20-year-old Kimberly L. Richardson was arrested for shoplifting and false informing.  Also taken into custody at the scene was 19-year-old Crysta M. Garfield charged with theft, false informing, possession of paraphernalia and attempted trafficking with an inmate.

-At 2:20 yesterday afternoon, Vincennes Police went to a family fight reported in the 10 block of North 14th. 40-year-old Clifton Prater Junior of Vincennes was arrested for battery at the residence.

 

-Two Vincennes men were arrested Saturday night after a fight investigation in the 1200 block of Vigo.  24-year-old Devon Chanley is charged with possession of a syringe and paraphernalia. 25-year-old Jordan K. Chanley was also arrested on scene for possession of a syringe and for possession of a controlled substance.

 

-A Lawrenceville woman was arrested Saturday Evening in Vincennes for driving while under the influence. 44-year-old Sherry Mayden was stopped by police in the 11-hundred block of Busseron Street and taken to the Knox County Jail.

 

-A Vincennes man was picked up for public intoxication Saturday afternoon. 44-year-old John Lemon was arrested after police respornded to a report of a dispute in the 800 block of North 5th Street. Further investigation found that Lemon was wanted on a Knox County Warrant for failure to appear.

 

-Vincennes Police responded to a medical call at College and Daily Streets around 1:30 pm Saturday. Further investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Amanda Leffler on charges of domestic battery and strangulation.
