Kent Utt, President of KCDC, highlights the year in economics in Knox County at the KCDC Annual Meeting

It’s been a year of remarkable growth in Knox County. Speaking to a crowd of over 300-people, Knox County Development Corporation President Kent Utt checked off a list of accomplishments from the opening of the newly remodeled Pioneer Oil Building in Downtown Vincennes to the dedication of Good Samaritan Hospital’s new Gibault Tower, Utt says there continues to be investment in the community.

And Utt says K-C-D-C isn’t resting on it’s laurels as it looks to add to that investment base.

Utt says with the purchase of additional land they now have 135 acres available for development in the Vincennes Industrial Park. In the area of workforce development, Utt says they partnered with Sullivan County and the City of Princeton to obtain a workforce development grant to train workers for manufacturing jobs in the area. They also plan to work with INVIN to promote downtown Vincennes.
