Beloved wife and mother, Roberta L. Latshaw, 86 of 8 South 20th St. Vincennes, passed away at 12:30 am March 1, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Roberta was born May 15, 1929 in Bruceville, Indiana, the daughter of Lloyd B. and Lucille (Mack) Elliott.
She married William E. Latshaw on January 12, 1952 and celebrated 64 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Bruceville Christian Church and the First Christian Church in Vincennes.
Roberta is survived by her husband, William; her son, Michael E. Latshaw of Vincennes; four nieces and two nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, Rosemary in 1937, Rita V. Wolfe in 2014; and a brother Don “Bruce” Elliott in 2014.
Roberta graduated in 1947 from Bruceville High School and shortly after worked for Indiana Bell Telephone. A homemaker for many years, she began working in the Vincennes City Clerk Treasurer’s office in 1975 as Payroll Clerk, an occupation she enjoyed and loved for 34 years. She retired at age 80 due to illness.
A private graveside service was held at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Steven DeFields-Gambrel officiating. Donations can be made to the GSH Hospice Program. Online condolences may be made at www.goodwinfamilyfh.com or cards may be sent to the residence.
