Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes is adding new technology updates to their medical center. In the state-of-the-art Gibault Memorial Tower section of the hospital, bedding units feature a new nursing call device with touch screen technology so patients can communicate their needs to nurses faster and more efficiently. The clinic has received such positive feedback from patients, they are now going to add the call devices to every room.
GSH Vice President of Operations, Matt Schuckman, says their goal is to take care of their patients requests as quickly as possible.
The board has budgeted $83,000 to purchase the rest of the call devices. Schuckman expects them to be installed by the end of the year.
