Myszack and Palmer along with legal representation from the Vincennes School Corporation presented the preliminary plans for renovations to Tecumseh Harrison Elementary School to the Vincennes City Council last night.

With the drawings looking promising, the main focus of thee upgrades is safety to the students and traffic flow.

Myszack and Palmer says during the renovation period, one block of Eberwine Ave. and a half block of Day Street will need to be closed for safety purposes.

Currently those portions of the roads are closed during the school day.

Since the renovations will be built over Eberwine it must be closed, and the partial closure of Day Street is for the safety of children traveling back and forth from the playground to the school building.

The Mayor, along with the Police Chief and City Engineer will be looking closer at traffic flow.

Yochum says Eberwine may possibly be turned into a 2 way street.

Right now it is a one way street to the river.

Yochum says they should have a decision on this matter by the next City Council Meeting.

The city along with Myszack and Palmer would like to get started on construction by the first of June.
