William R. “Dick” Cox

William R. “Dick” Cox, 71, of Vincennes, passed away February 20, 2016, at his home.

Dick had worked at Miller Construction, and then retired from Gemtron. He was an avid collector, and loved the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Army.

Born December 10, 1944, in Vincennes, and raised in Bicknell, IN, he was the son of Lester and Evelyn (Mitchell) Cox. His parents and his wife, Karen (Young) Cox, whom he married Oct. 11, 1969, and who passed away Aug. 20, 2015, preceded him.

Surviving are his children, Robin Cochran and her husband, Ron, of Vincennes, Mark Robbins and his wife, Nickie, of Sandborn, IN, Christy Cline and her husband, Matt, of Vincennes, Jill Hunt and her husband, Travis, of Vincennes, and Rick Cox of Vincennes; a brother, Raymond Cox, of Bicknell, IN; grandchildren, Ashley O’Dell, Josh Cochran, Cortney Cline, Skyler Robbins, Tanner Cline, Kaleigh Robbins, Jaxon Hunt, and Xander Hunt; and his great-grandchildren, Dylan O’Dell, Nicholas O’Dell, Maddyx Cochran, and Landon Carter.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 on Tuesday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at the Tower Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery.
