Candice Charlton was jailed Friday for murder
A Vincennes woman is facing charges in the fatal stabbing of a Wheatland man.
39-year-old Candice Charlton is being held on a preliminary charge of murder in the case.
Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris says deputies responded to a call of a family fight at a Wheatland Residence Friday night. 35-year-old Gerald Sturgeon had suffered a stab wound in the incident. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Morris says Charlton was arrested at the scene. She was also taken to G-S-H to be evaluated. Morris says the investigation is ongoing.
