Madison Rose Jaquet, 8, passed away on January 13, 2016. Maddie was born on April 29, 2007 the daughter of Erin Nicole Barekman and Leon G. Jaquet, Jr.
Maddie was a member of the Indiana Presbyterian church and a student at Vigo Elementary School. She loved playing basketball, art and music. Maddie loved being with her friends and always had a smile on her face. She was an awesome big sister to Peyton and loved her big brother Malaki very much.
Survivors include her mother and step-father Erin Nicole Barekman and David J. Anthis, Jr. of Vincennes; father, Leon G. Jaquet, Jr. of Vincennes; sister, Peyton Nicole Anthis; brother, Malaki Xavier Jaquet; sister, Chloe Jaquet; best friend, Dylon Catt; best girl friend, Hailie Miley and favorite cousin Cahley Hartzburg; maternal grandmother, Cathy Barekman; paternal grandmother, Dawn Phipps; paternal grandfather, Leon Jaquet, Sr.; maternal great grandmother, Nancy Collins; step grandmother, Linda Shots, step great grandmother, Anna Lucas; aunt Theresa Finley, aunt Kimberly Brochin, uncle Michael Barekman, aunt Michelle Pearson, aunt Angela Barekman, aunt Dottie Evans, aunt Julia Barekman, uncle Michael Tripp, uncle Matt Foster, and uncle Kelly Foster, aunt Jessica Anthis and cousin, Nick Anthis. Maddie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Terry Barekman; and maternal great grandparents, Lois and Gerald Barekman.
Funeral services for Maddie will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 19, 2016at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hickman officiating.
