Kenneth L. Cessna, age 80, of Sumner, IL, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born February 8, 1935, in Crawford County, Illinois, the son of Clarence Arthur and Ethel (Dunlap) Cessna. He married Sue McNew on August 31, 1962, and she survives.
Kenny worked at AMF in Olney, IL for 30 plus years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Kenny was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan who also enjoyed woodworking.
Kenny’s parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Cessna, of Sumner and one brother, Everett (Ardith) Cessna of Bridgeport. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
