Weather pattern will change to more seasonal temps

The National Weather Service says December was the third warmest December on record in Indiana. Meteorologist Jason Puma says the average temperature last month was 42-degrees. He says that was 11 degrees warmer than normal. However, Puma adds that the El Nino – warm water jet stream pattern – that caused warmer temperatures, is waning somewhat. He says Indiana is already seeing colder temperatures as a result. Puma says cold fronts are intruding into the Ohio Valley and unlike December, January temperatures will be seasonably normal. He adds that the colder we get, the greater the likelihood for snow, although heavy snow is not in the current forecast.
