A Purdue University energy economist is predicting natural gas and gasoline prices to stay low during 2016.
Wally Tyner says natural gas prices, now at their lowest price since 1994, will be even lower during the home heating season next winter.Tyner says consumers won’t see the full benefit in their gas bills this winter. That’s because most of the natural gas that will be delivered this winter has already been contracted.
Tyner says he expects gasoline prices to stay in the range of $2 to $2.50 a gallon for much of 2016.
