The smells of gingerbread and frosting filled the Knox County Public Library last night, as the 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Contest took place.

Gingerbread homes of all sizes, shapes, and colors were on display for the community to enjoy.

Friends of the Knox County Library awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for children, youth, teen and adults.

There was also a People’s Choice Award and Best in Show.

This is second year that the contest has taken place, and its something Co-chair of the Gingerbread House Committee Georgiann Leonard says takes a lot of planning.

Around 45 entries from people of all ages entered a ginger bread house some big, and some small.
