Leo A. Kelly, 87, passed away at 10:33 pm on December 2, 2015 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Leo was born on November 26, 1928 in Springfield, KY. He married Jeanne Conger Zimmer on May 9, 1998.
    Leo was a Certified Professional Soil Scientist and loved to walk the fields working with his wife Jeanne. He served his country in the U.S. Army arterial during the Korean Conflict. Leo graduated from the University of Kentucky and was an avid Wildcat fan. He was life- long member of St. John Catholic church where he taught Religion for many years, a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus,  the Harmony Society, VFW, and American Legion. Leo also enjoyed working at the annual Germanfest.
    Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Kelly of Vincennes; daughters, Debbie Purcell and her husband Charlie of Vincennes, Judy Crim and her husband Kevin of Ohio, Mary Small of Vincennes; sons, David Kelly and his wife Tammy of Ashville, NC, Jim Kelly and his wife Valerie of Vincennes; step-daughters, Karla Mayo and her husband Tom of Vincennes, Nita Pero and her husband Bill of Vincennes; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leo was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:30 pm on Monday, December 7, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. David Fleck and Rev. Donald Ackerman celebrating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with Leo’s family from 10:00 am until noon on Monday at Goodwinn Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
