Weekend arrests

At just before 1-am today, 48-year-old Tracy D. Twitty was stopped for a traffic offense at North 6th and Depot.  Twitty was found to be wanted on a warrant and taken into custody.

-Vincennes Police responded to a burglary in progress at 5:12-pm Sunday in the 1300 block of Perry.  44-year-old Tracey D. Godfrey of Vincennes was apprehended and faces several charges.  Godfrey was booked into the Knox County Jail for two counts of felony burglary, and misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, public intoxication and possession of marijuana.

-Saturday at 4, 48-year-old Brenda G. Kindred of Speedway was charged with criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement after an incident in the 900 block of Harris Street. Vincennes City officers were assisted by VUPD.

-Mathew Seals, 30 of Vincennes was arrested at 5:48 Saturday evening. He was wanted for trespassing and non support of a child.  He was arrested in the 400 block of Bowman Terrace.

-At 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, Bert E. Goodwin, 41 of Vincennes was arrested for invasion of privacy at Kimmell Crossing.

-A traffic stop on Saturday night at 7 at Washington Avenue and St. Claire resulted in three arrests. The driver, Charles Baughn was charged with driving while suspended with a prior.  Passenger, Kyle Lehman was found to be wanted on several Knox County warrants.  He’s also charged with theft, trespassing and possession of meth. Another passenger, Ashley Doerner was found be wanted on multiple Knox County warrants.  All were taken to the Knox County Jail.

-Friday night just before midnight, state police and Vincennes Police responded to an accident at 15th and Hart.  During the investigation, 23-year-old Gregory Lee Bottoms of Monroe City was found to have been drinking and driving.  He had been taken to the hospital where he was found to have been driving with an allegedly blood alcohol level of .42%.
