Alverta F. Horst, 88, of Freelandville, IN, passed away on Nov. 5, 2015, at the Freelandville Community Home.
Verta was a homemaker, and a member of the Freelandville Methodist Church. Her family and her church were her life.
Born March 21, 1927, she was the daughter of William and Goldie (Brickie) Morris. Her parents; her husband, Paul B. Horst; her sister, and her brother preceded her.
Surviving are her children, Leslie Horst and his wife, Bev, of Montgomery, IN, Earl Horst and his wife, Christina, of Freelandville, IN, Kathleen Hooks and her husband, Doug, of Vincennes, and Dale Horst and his wife, Deeann, of Sullivan, IN; a brother, Norman Morris, of Sullivan, IN; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 – 3:00 on Saturday, at the Freelandville Methodist Church. The funeral will begin at 3:00 at the church, and interment will follow in the Freelandville Memorial Cemetery. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
