You won’t be able to see it without a telescope, but an asteroid will come fairly close to the earth on Halloween. Asteroid 2015 TB145 has been given the nickname “Spooky” since it will pass by the earth around 1pm on Saturday

Brian Murphy with the Holcomb Observatory at Butler University says despite its size, the asteroid was only discovered a few weeks ago, October 10th, and it’s the last one we may see this close for a while….

The close pass will give astronomers the rare chance to view the surface of the asteroid, with a resolution of as little as two meters.  The asteroid was just discovered October 10th.
