Vincennes area arrests

A Vincennes man was arrested on an Orange County warrant for auto theft last night.  Vincennes Police took 31-year-old Andrew David White into custody at Wal Mart at just before 8-pm.  Police were there investigating an incident where White was also charged with theft and criminal trespassing.  Vincennes Police were assisted by state police in the investigation.

At 5:34 pm last evening, 19-year-old Jordan J. Gonzales of Homewood, Illinois was arrested at the Vincennes Wal Mart in a shoplifting incident.  He was charged with misdemeanor theft.

A Vincennes man wanted on warrants was picked up by Vincennes Police in the 900 block of Nixon Square in Vincennes at 4:16-pm Tuesday afternoon.  28-year-old Michael Eugene Shelton was wanted for strangulation, residential entry and battery.  He was booked into the Knox County Jail on the warrants.

At 2-pm Tuesday, Police responded to the 800 block of North 5th in Vincennes to investigate a reported family fight. Arrested was 20-year-old Mathew Adam Patton for resisting law enforcement.
