Linda R. West, 69, of Vincennes, passed away Oct. 14, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Linda was a long time employee of the Vincennes Water Department. She was a graduate of Robinson (IL) High School, and the Indiana Business College. Linda enjoyed going to craft shows and flea markets, and especially enjoyed the Covered Bridge Festival. Reading and caring for her grandson, Matt, were favorite activities. Often she would pop popcorn, and she and her husband, Ron, would feed the geese and ducks. Linda had attended the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Robinson, IL.
Born September 23, 1946, in Robinson, IL, she was the daughter of Verice and Ruby (Kamplain) Baker. Her parents preceded her.
Surviving is her husband, Ron West; her son, Matthew Wayne West of Vincennes, IN; her grandson, Matthew Brayden West of Vincennes; and her sisters, Martha Michl and Evelyn Cross, both of Robinson, IL.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 2:00 EDT, at the Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main Street, Vincennes, IN. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, from 5:00 – 8:00, at the funeral home, and on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 EDT.
