The cause of a house fire Saturday Night remains under investigation by the Vincennes Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s office.
Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 829 N. 9th Street shortly after 9 Saturday night.
Captain Jim Beaman says the first unit on the scene reported smoke and fire coming from the 2nd floor of the home.
Beaman says they were able to contain the fire within about 15 minutes.
Damage to the home was estimated at 20-thousand dollars.
Beaman says there were no injuries.
The home is occupied by Michael Gilmore and owned by Barbara Gilmore.
