Vincennes Residents will have the opportunity to get rid of their unused or expired prescription drugs today.
The Vincennes Police Department along with the Drug Enforcement Administration will have a disposal site set-up at Vincennes Police Headquarters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Police Chief Dusty Luking says medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to misuse and abuse.
He says more than half of the overdose deaths in Indiana are caused by prescription drugs or heroin.
Luking says the service is free and anonymous, no questions will be asked.
