“The city has lost a true leader”…those are the words of Washington Mayor Joe Wellman, commenting on Monday’s death of former Mayor Dave Abel.
Abel died Monday at age 62 after a long hard battle with cancer.
Abel served as Mayor from 1984 to 1988 and again from 2004 to 2008.
Wellman says Abel was a mentor of his who always had positive things to say…
Abel’s arrangements will be handled through Gill Funeral Home.
