Brian Hagen is seeking to fill the vacant position of Knox County Coroner. The position opened up after Gordon Becher announced that he was resigning to accept a job within the State Fire Marshall’s office.
Hagan has served as Deputy Coroner under Becher for the last 14 years and is a Captain on the Vincennes Police Department. Hagen received his state certified training through the Indiana Coroners Training Board.
Becher’s last day as coroner is September 25th.
The Knox County Democratic Central Committee will meet in the near future to name Becher’s replacement. So Far, Hagen is the only announced candidate for the job.
