The 7th Annual Vincennes Stage Door Canteen will pay
tribute to veterans of World War II and the Korean War conflicts this Saturday.
The event features 1940’s era music and lively USO-style
variety show at Vincennes University’s Green Activities Center. Admissionis free with a donation.
The Canteen is sponsored by the Vincennes Historical and Antiquarian Society and proceeds will benefit USO Indiana.
Starting at 6:00 p.m the Temple Airs Swing Band will get patrons
“in the mood” to dance, mingle, and enjoy great Big Band era music.
Local talent will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. for a variety show that is
reminiscent of the old-time USO Shows. The band will return and play until 10:00 p.m.
Funding for USO Indiana relies solely on donations and Vincennes Stage Door
