September 9th marks the day that around 400 high school students will take part in the tour of opportunities. KCDC is sponsoring the day and hopes that students will learn about job opportunities and career options with in local industry. There will be 4 different tours that ach students can choose from. The business’s included in the tours are Good Samaritan Hospital, Futaba, PCA, KCRC, Far Best Foods, Wabash Steel, and Schott/Gemtron Packaging Corporation. KCDC is working with Interim President Chuck Johnson to ensure the day is successful as well as to include Vincennes Universities welding program into the tour. Along with that, Sate School Superintendent Glenda Ritz will be in Vincennes on that day as well.
