Dorothy Lucille (Fisher) Shreve, 91, Bicknell passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at home with her family at her side. Dorothy was born April 15, 1924, in Bicknell, IN, the daughter of Edward and Cordelia (Holden) Fisher. She married James Shreve on October 21, 1944 and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2014. She was retired from North Knox Central Elementary School as a cook, she also worked for Moore Nursing home as a nursing aid, and enjoyed horse racing and attending various casinos.
Dorothy is survived by her son, James E. Shreve and wife Donna of Beech Grove IN, Daughter Jackie Thompson and husband Alex of Bicknell, IN. Five grandchildren, Angie Hatfield, Bobette York, Nicole Robbins, Tina Shreve Dawn Garo; Six Great-grand children Skyler Robbins, Kaleigh Robbins, Rocky Hatfield, Bethany Hatfield, Keegan Shreve and Bobby Joe Shreve; Three great-grandchildren Keegan Hatfield, Brealynn Hatfield, Jaxson Shreve.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and one granddaughter, Denise Shreve and one great-grandson, Bryce Hatfield.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel with funeral services immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bicknell Swim land.
