The City of Bicknell is working towards tearing down several blighted homes in the community. City Attorney Michael Owens informed members of the city council last night that obtaining titles to some of the targeted properties has taken longer than expected. Owens says they are working on closing dates to get ownership transferred to the Bicknell Bulldogs, a community led group which plans to maintain the properties once the houses have been removed.

The City received a state grant for 415-thousand dollars last October to tear down the homes. So far 18 homes have been targeted so far.
