Vehicle involved in Sunday’s fatal crash west of Vincennes was stolen

     A stolen vehicle was involved in that fatal crash Sunday night west of Vincennes.

    Illinois State Police reported that 37 year old Lonnie Hill of St. Francisville, Illinois was west on 50 at 10-pm Eastern Time Sunday night.  He was driving a car that had been reported stolen from Indiana earlier in the day.  Troopers say Hill was traveling at a high rate of speed and rear ended a car driven by 64-yaer-old Kermit Ingram of Lawrenceville.  Both vehicles swerved after impact went off the highway and rolled several times.  Ingram was thrown from his car and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Hill was taken to Good Sam in Vincennes and later transported to an Evansville Hospital for his injuries.

      Lonnie Hill is facing preliminary charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol and speeding to fast to avoid a collision.  Other charges may be pending.
