Reva Treese

Reva Treese, 89, of Vincennes, IN, passed away on July 26, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  She was born on May 28, 1926 in Galt, MO to Harold and Goldia (McCulley) Berry.

Reva graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (now Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO, and taught in and around Galt, MO before marrying William (Bill) Treese in 1952. They were happily married for 48 years, living in Bethany, MO, Brookfield, MO, and Maryville, MO before moving to Vincennes in 1974. Reva was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and volunteered for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital and RSVP.  She was also a member of Campers on Missions Indiana, Knox County Extension Homemakers, and Knox County Sewing Guild.

Reva is survived by her brother, Melvin (Laurel) Berry of Galt, MO, and sister, Jeanette (Chuck) Wengert of Montezuma, IA; her daughter Cherie (Bruce) Williams of Boynton Beach, FL, and son, William Dean (Darlene) Treese Jr., of Vincennes; her grandchildren Jessica Treese and Rachell Treese, both of San Angelo, TX, Julina Williams of Lady Lake, FL, William Dean (Billy) Treese III of  Austin, TX, Getchell (Christa) Williams of Nashville, TN, Joshua (Kimberly) Williams of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and Mick Ogle of Vincennes; six great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Reva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter, Diana Rose Treese, and brothers, William Berry and James Berry.

A funeral service will be held at Goodwin Family Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 3:00 p.m. A service will also be held at Fairview Methodist Church, Galt, MO, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3.  Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Berry Cemetery, Galt, MO.
