Fire Destroyed a home in Bicknell Saturday night. Firefigthers responded to a call at 815 West Third Street around 10 pm.
Bicknell Fire Chief Tom Houghland says Washington and Vigo Township along with members from the Vincennes Township Fire Department assisted in putting out the fire.
Houghland says it was extremely humid Saturday night. He says Knox County E-M-S assisted in providing water to firefighters who suffered from heat exhaustion.
Houghland says none of the firefighters required hospitalization.
The State Fire Marshall’s office has been called in to assist with determining the cause of the fire,
The house was being rented by Andy Ellison who wasn’t at home at the time the fire broke out.
The property is owned by Margo & Stan Stanczak of Bicknell.
