Donald Ray White, age 84 of St. Francisville, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 18, 1931 in Allendale to John and Mabel Pearl (Wease) White.

He married Vera Harvey on June 2, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 2003.

Donald Ray served during the Korean War as a member of the United States Army. He worked for US Steel as a pipefitter for 30 years in the Joliet area before retiring and moving back to Lawrence County. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 947 of St. Francisville.

Surviving family includes: one son- Michael White and wife Donna of Manville, IL: two daughters- Sharon Severin and husband Glenn of Romeoville, IL and Karen Markley and husband John of Plainfield, IL: eight grandchildren: six great-grandchildren: two brothers- Larry White of Channahon, IL and Kenny White of Lawrenceville: and two sisters- Evelyn Harris and Sarah Malcolm both of Vincennes, IN.

He was preceded in death by: his parents- John and Mabel Pearl White: his wife- Vera White: two sons- Gerald W. White and David E. White: one grandson- Michael White, Jr.: one brother- John: and two sisters- Patty and Lucille.

A funeral service for Donald Ray White will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
