Local law enforcement is investigating the theft of 3 vehicles and a UTV and also a burglary that happened early Friday morning.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and Washington Police, along with the Knox County Sheriff’s Department are all working together to solve the crimes.

Sources say part of the investigation involves an incident early Friday where a vehicle was crashed off Highway 57 at Memering Farms north of Washington.  A suspect then broke into a garage and crashed through a garage door with a stolen gator.  The gator was later found in Edwardsport.

Authorities say the most recent vehicle stolen was in Edwardsport.  It’s a black 1988 Ford 4 wheel drive with license number T-K-1-0-1-M-J-F.  It has not been recovered.

The suspects is a male last seen wearing a white tank top, dark pants and hat which was on backwards.

The public is encouraged to provide any information they have about the crimes to their local police or sheriff’s department.
