The Bierhaus Doorway Scholarship Committee of the Vincennes University Foundation has announced that Kameron Vonderwell of Vincennes is the recipient of its William M. Bierhaus Doorway Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year.
Vonderwell is a 2015 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and will major in Aviation Flight Technology while at VU.
The scholarship was established by William M. “Bud” Bierhaus and is awarded to an incoming VU freshman who is a graduate of either Lincoln High School or Rivet High School in Vincennes.
The Vincennes University Foundation has announced the recipients of the Oscar L. Dunn Memorial Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year. The recipients are Vincennes Lincoln High School graduates Kenneth Deetz and Sydney York of Vincennes.
Kenneth Deetz will major in Precision Machining Technology and Sydney York will major in Biological/Biomedical Science with a concentration in Pre-Professional Medical Biology.
Oscar L. Dunn was a dedicated teacher, educator, and humanitarian. He taught mathematics and music to generations of Vincennes Lincoln High School and Vincennes University students. The scholarship was established in his memory to offer assistance to qualified students graduating from Vincennes Lincoln High School attending Vincennes University for the purpose of pursuing a higher education.
