Kendall Derifield

Kendall Derifield, 73, of Washington, passed away Sunday at 6 p.m. at his residence.

He was born June 14, 1941, to Granice (Karels) and Kenneth Derifield.

He graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1959. He attended University of Minnesota and graduated from North Arizona University in 1963. He retired from Shurtleff and Andrews as a contract engineer. He was active in AA for 27 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sonya (Kennedy) Derifield, whom he married Nov. 18, 1972; son Butch Derifield of New Haven, West Virginia; sisters Karen DeVore of California and Marlys Weber of Arizona; grandchildren Eryk Derifield of Washington, Airael Derifield of West Virginia, Dralen Derifield of West Virginia, Brettany Schwartz of Washington; and two great-grandchildren, Rilee Derifield and Alexa Derifield.

Kendall is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
