The Toussaint Du Bois Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution honored two Lawrence County women Monday evening for their contributions to the understanding of Lawrence County history. Both Donna Burton and the late Irene Black were honored with certificates of award during a ceremony at the Lawrence County History Center as part of a celebration of National Women in History Month. Black’s certificate will be displayed at the Genealogical Library which is named after her.
