The Wabash County EMA in cooperation with the Radio Amateur Downstate Illinois
Organization (R.A.D.I.O.) based in Mt. Carmel IL will be offering an Amateur Radio (Ham) licensing test session at 3:00 pm on June 23rd @ the Mt Carmel EMA EOC located at 930 1/2 Market Street, Mt. Carmel IL 62863.
This session is open to all levels of testing, Technician, General, and Extra. There are ONLY 14 seats available for this session so PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Calculators are permitted however memories will be cleared prior to beginning the test. The cost for the test is $15.00, cash or check ONLY (cash is preferred) Checks should be made out to ARRL/VEC. If you are planning on upgrading you will have to bring a COPY of your current license or valid CSCE for elements already passed within the last year, to be included with your test results which will be sent to the ARRL/VEC for verification THESE MUST BE COPIES. You will also need to bring a picture ID for us to verify your identity. We no longer need copies of the ID. If this is your FIRST application, you will have to provide your Social Security Number for the federal application paperwork. If you are already licensed or have a previous (FCC ISSUED)
license of any type you need to provide the ”FRN” (Federal Registration Number) that was assigned to you on that license. This is a requirement of the application protocol.
Please try to arrive at least a half hour early to fill out necessary paperwork.
