When there is a job vacancy at WAKO AM & FM we notify area Education facilities including : Vincennes, Indiana Broadcasting Department [W V U B radio]—Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Illinois [W V J C radio]—Southern Illinois University college of Radio Broadcasting [W S I U radio] along with other various broadcasting education facilities. WAKO AM & FM will also run paid advertising in area Newspapers along with contacting area unemployment agency’s, various chamber of commerce office’s, The Department of Employment Security in Mt. Vernon, Ill.


General Mgr. Kent Lankford has manned booths at numerous job fairs in Lawrenceville, Ill , Vincennes In, Robinson, Ill. , Olney, Ill. And spoken with a number of people who could be interested in radio Careers.


Our EEO program of the station relies on several means to help insure a fresh list of applications for potential employee reserved during times when there are no vacancies.
