Volunteers: Always needed, forever appreciated

  • National Volunteer Week was established by Presidential Proclamation in 1974 to highlight various opportunities for those interested in volunteering.
  • It’s a time to consider volunteering or providing support to those organizations in your community.
  • This year National Volunteer Week is being celebrated at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital from April 7th to April 13th.
  • The Lawrence County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary was established in 2004 to greet and assist clients as they enter the hospital for services. The Auxiliary also raises funds for various equipment purchases and building projects.
  • Since its inception the Auxiliary has contributed over $58,000 to the hospital.
  • Everyone at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital wants to give a “BIG THANKS” to all members of the Auxiliary for all that they do!
