The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education met in special session Monday evening and after discussion did approve by a 4-3 vote the district’s “Guide to Reopening” school plan. The plan gives parents of Unit 10 students the choice of remote learning from home or in-person instruction at Sumner Attendance Center, Bridgeport Grade School and Red Hill Junior-Senior High School. It also details the various plans for each school ranging from transporting students to and from school to the daily schedules for each building. Also detailed are the various health safety protocols instituted by the Illinois Department of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health along with local input. The approved plan will now be placed on the Red Hill Unit 10 website for study and review. The first scheduled day of school for Unit 10 is Thursday August 20th.
